Save Duchess: Urgent Medical Help Needed

Last night, we had to take our horse, Duchess, to the Tryon Equine Hospital. We found out that she has an impaction. She is being treated with IV fluids and pain medication, so that it will hopefully pass. At this point, colic surgery is still a possibility. If she cannot pass it on her own, or the pain medications are not working, our only option will be surgery. This could be fatal without surgery.

Duchess is 14 years old and is the sweetest soul. She does not have a mean bone in her body. She is truly one of the most special horses I have ever met. We are devastated and do not want to lose our sweet girl. ANYTHING helps. She is such a pure, kind, sweet soul and has so much more life to live. Please help us give her the treatment that she deserves.
