My friend Dr. Taher Dabour is an Egyptian anesthesiologist and critical care specialist, who was treating COVID-19 patients in Egypt. He got infected with COVID and his condition is critical. He has been in the Intensive Care Unit for two weeks without significant improvement.

He needs an urgent intervention to help him breathe called ECMO (ExtraCorporeal Membrane Oxygenation). The cost is high and starting fees for the machine and hospital expenses are estimated to be around 26,000 USD.
