Dozer is a 10 week old Great Dane Puppy.
He has been diagnosed with Hypertrophic Osteodystrophy (HOD) a painful inflammatory bone disease that affects growing puppies. This is not just “growing pains.” It is a serious medical condition that causes intense bone pain, swelling, and high fevers.

He has been given fluids multiple times to keep his 106’f temperature down, which puts stress on the entire body and can quickly become life-threatening if not treated and monitored closely.

He’s been kept at the Animal Hospital in Charlotte, NC. They’re trying their best to lower his temperature, but it keeps on going up.

He has been lethargic, he struggles to stand and he falls when he tries to walk. He’s been very dizzy and disoriented. It’s been heartbreaking seeing his limp little body. There’s been times where we’d try to get his attention and he doesn’t wake up, so keeping him at home and waiting for it to “pass” is not an option.

Between emergency vet visits, diagnostic tests, medications for pain and inflammation, fever management, follow-up appointments, and supportive care, the costs add up extremely fast. I’m doing everything I can to keep him comfortable, safe, and healing, but we can’t do it alone. We’ve spent so much money already to keep him at the vets so he’s safe, but funds are getting low.

We’re scared he might have to be kept for even longer and we just won’t be able to afford it.. If we won’t be able to afford it, we’ll have to take him home and risk him dying, because his temperature keeps on going up to 106’f

Any donation, any amount would help. It’s embarrassing for me to ask, but I want to make sure that this little angel gets the help he needs.
I appreciate every kind donation. God bless you
