Save Dorrys Diner

Thank you for visiting our page. We hope you and your loved ones are all safe and healthy.

This July will mark 15 years since Dorry’s Diner opened its doors, and we were planning a celebration to mark the event. However, COVID-19 has unfortunately not only ended the party, it has forced us to temporarily close our doors. One of the qualities that makes us feel like home, our small and intimate dining area, is what makes social distancing so difficult for us. Therefore, for the health and safety of our staff and customer's, we will remain closed until it is safe for everyone.

At this time, because we are closed and have no income, I am unable to meet my monthly obligations; like rent, utilities, Insurance etc. I am asking anyone who can, to donate a few dollars to us to help us reopen when it is safe to do so. Any support that you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

I have put my life into Dorry’s because I Love what I do. I love my staff and customers, who have become like my extended family! When I first opened in 2005 I met Pastor Joe. He told me that he would help me build the Diner; which he did, ten fold. He created Tuesday’s Talks at Dorry’s, which is a talk about anything and everything. This brought in a whole other family.

As most people know, I have a Love for all things Bruce Springsteen. It started with a small photo, and then through the goodness of customers donating pictures and such, Dorry’s evolved into a Springsteen tribute diner. That brought a bunch of Spring- Nuts in one day, and they became as much a part of our family as I a part of theirs.

As most customers know, Dorry’s is more than a place to eat; it is a second home to all of us. My grandkids love coming into “Grammy’s“ Diner and helping out, and I love being able to have them here. To say what Dorry’s Diner means to me is to ask me to summarize my life in
only a few words. Clearly, it is my livelihood; but economics alone would have never kept me in this business. I try to keep my prices reasonable for my customers. So what is Dorry’s Diner really? It is where I go to be with my customers, so many of whom have become friends and family not only me, but to each other. It is a place where we meet, talk, and share the stories of our lives. Dorry’s Diner is my heart. I thank all of you for supporting us in any way you can.

To extend our love and appreciation to our larger community, as a token of our gratitude, we are pleased to offer first responders and hospital healthcare workers 30% off on Tuesdays.

Food brings us comfort. We cannot wait to be back with you, bringing both food and comfort to our community and friends.
