Save Dixie Service Cleaners!
Donation protected
This is a story of a small local business owner with a big heart. Pat and her husband Larry have owned and operated Dixie Service Dry Cleaners since 2003. Pat and Larry have given generously to the Fort Walton Beach community by providing young girl's with clean donated dresses for prom and cleaning flags free for our service men and women. In 2015, Pat was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, and only given an eight percent chance of survival. Thankfully, Pat fought through the cancer and survived. Unfortunately, after Pat's recovery, the love of her life and business partner Larry, was diagnosed with vascular Dementia. Larry's health started to severely decline as the COVID-19 pandemic was beginning to spread. Pat made the painful choice to suspend operations and take care of her husband during his final days. Pat's husband Larry passed away on June 10th, 2020. She is now a widow with a business debt and trying to make it back from family health issues and lost revenue. The need is great and immediate. Dixie Cleaners is facing eviction very soon! The funds raised will be used for rent payments and much needed equipment repairs. Your support will enable Pat to continue the small business that she built with her dear husband Larry. Anything you contribute is greatly appreciated.
