Meet Disco. I found this tiny 1.2 pound kitten in an industrial park in Los Angeles on a 100 degree day. My studio manager Ali and I dropped everything to care for this tiny fuzz boy and took him to the vet to be evaluated. He got a clean bill of health (minus some worms and fleas) and was adopted by my wonderful employee Crystal and her partner Evan.
Disco was loving his new set up, but in the past few days, he became more lethargic and weak. Crystal and Evan had taken him to the vet for consultations, but there were no great answers provided.
This morning, Crystal found him limp and performed CPR before rushing him to the emergency vet. He is now stable and a close eye is being kept on him until they figure out what is wrong. Unfortunately, emergency vets are wildly expensive and we got the initial bill to admit him--nearly $3,000. The estimated bill is nearly $5,000.
We need your help to get this sweet, kind, fuzzy buddy on the mend and to keep Crystal and Evan out of debt for taking on this sweet street kitty.
I set up this campaign to offer a limited edition print in exchange for your donation, but if you would prefer to donate without getting the print, just let me know when I email you. The print is $35, which includes shipping and handling. We appreciate any size of donation, but will assume any donation under $35 is not for the print. The print is 8" x 10", two colors, and is being generously screen printed for free by The Little Friends of Printmaking . All profits go to Disco's medical bills.
Thank you for your time and generosity, let's get this little kitty a fresh start in his loving new home.
