Little Dinky and her five siblings came to us as critically ill neonates. We pulled out all the stops to keep them alive: our incubator, nebulizer, subcutaneous fluids, numerous oral and ocular antibiotics, and we syringe-fed all six babies around the clock until they were strong enough to eat on their own. Their severe respiratory infections also infected their eyes and caused corneal lesions. Dinky was most severely affected and may have ruptured eyes. She needs to be examined by a board-certified ophthalmologist to determine if she will need a double or single enucleation. Please consider donating so we can get her the critical care she needs to potentially preserve her vision.
The medical care for these six kittens to date has already exceeded $1,000. Dinky's consultation with the ophthalmologist is estimated to cost around $300 next week, plus whatever medications she is given. We then expect another $500 or more for her eye surgery. We need your financial support to get Dinky the help she needs.
