HELP SAVE DIESEL!

I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my friends Alison and Michael King and their beloved whippet, Diesel, who is currently fighting for his life after suffering unexpected complications following a neuter procedure for cryptorchidism which quickly turned into a devastating medical emergency. Just a few days after surgery, he began experiencing serious complications and rapidly declined. He was rushed to an emergency vet where doctors worked to stabilize him before transferring him to AVS Veterinary Specialist Hospital for advanced critical care and treatment.
Like many of us who love our dogs, The Kings would do anything for him. Diesel is not just a pet—he is family. He is a cherished companion who brings love, comfort, and joy every day. Watching him struggle and seeing the uncertainty of his condition has been heartbreaking.
The veterinary specialists are working to save his life, but the cost of emergency hospitalization, diagnostic testing, specialist consultations, medications, and intensive care has become overwhelming. What began as a planned procedure has turned into an unexpected financial burden that no one could have anticipated.
I am asking our friends, family, fellow dog lovers, and compassionate supporters to help ease this burden so that his family can afford to continue his care and see Diesel fully recovered. Current emergency and critical care expenses total $8526.04 and will continue to rise.
Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward his medical expenses. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser. Your support, prayers, and kind thoughts mean more than words can express.
Thank you for helping give this sweet boy the best possible chance to come home.
We will continue to post updates on his condition and veterinary care as they become available.
UPDATE! Diesel had surgery to check the integrity of the cavity wall and remove necrotic tissue. They also needed to check his bladder after losing control of it's function. There was concern that he may not tolerate the anesthesia again so soon but it went well. Alison will be visiting today 6/17 to go over the findings.
