Save Diana: Fund Her Critical Ear Surgery

I'm not one to ask for help for myself, but this one's not about me. My beloved feline dark cloud of fur, Diana, the "Bat-Cat", is in dire need of major surgery, and I humbly ask for your help in getting her well again.

For years, Diana has had a problem with her right ear. For longest time, we've just thought it was an issue with recurring ear infections that needed periodic attention from our Vet. However, the last time we took her in, Dr. Jones at the Cat Hospital of Wichita told us that it is actually a rare condition, usually found in the Himalayan breed, where recurring cysts cause great pain, loss of balance, and, if left untreated, worse infecitons that can potentially be fatal.

Even though we had the cysts removed that day, they will recur within weeks or months, requiring a never-ending cycle of small ear surgeries. There is only one known cure for the condition - Ear Canal Oblation, or the removal of the ear canal enitrely. While this will end the recurring cysts, it will leave her deaf on her right side. It's the least bad choice among bad choices, and the only one that stops the pain.

We have made an appointment this week with the Veterniary Hospital at Kansas State University. The first day will be the consulation where they review Diana's condition, and possibly run a cat-scan to see more in-depth. The next day is the surgery, which will require a minimum of a two-day stay for observation after the surgery.

Even if all goes well, all of this will run somewhere in the neighborhood of $6,000 in total. I just can't swing that much by myself on a retail salary. So, I am asking for help to take care of my little fur nugget and to make heer well. If you an help in any way, I will be grateful beyond words.
