Save Deja Blue’s Smile!

Deja Blue, aka the Dejapants Diva, is a 7.5 year old cardiac alert/PTSD mitigation/non-traditional mobility Service Dog. Welcome to Her Cheesiness, if you haven’t met her before, and to her fan club, who asked me to start this GoFundMe for her, she sends many “roos,” all the wigglebutts, and ALL. THE. CHEESE. Plus so many kisses (y’all know Deja can’t hold her licker!).

Deja and I have learned through her new-to-us first vet visit that she has a molar slab fracture, much to our dismay. We have scheduled the surgery in late February 2025, the soonest date available, to prevent abscess and further complications.

Those of you who know and/or are part of Team Blue know we always keep a good emergency fund for unexpected lovely events such as this. However, Tao’s passing in May 2024 and our recent move from KY to MD in December 2024 have reduced that fund significantly, with no time to replenish it in a month.

The vet estimates close to $2000 for the surgery. That’s IF she finds no other fun surprises in Deja’s mouth while our lovely is under anesthesia. Her preliminary bloodwork was just over $250.

We kindly ask you to join fellow Team Blue friends in donating to her surgery as you feel led, no matter the amount, and if you are not so inclined or able, we completely understand, and ask you to please share the link far and wide. Any remaining funds will go toward follow up care and whatever special things Deja needs post-surgery.

Her initial bill was paid on CareCredit. We are chasing every possible assistance piece with the various pet assistance programs online. The demand for those programs is incredible with very little funding, so we’re hoping for miracles, if we receive any response at all.
