Save Debbie Jones' Home

On Jan January 23, 2024 at 1AM local time, Debbie Jones' home caught fire due to a faulty electrical outlet. As you can see from the pictures, the damage is very extensive, and the interior of the home is a total loss with fire, smoke, and water damages.

Debbie lives a modest and simple lifestyle and has been living in the family home since 1978. She raised her son, Shawn in this home, and also lived with her mother until she passed away. Piedmont Drive is a generational property in the Jones family. Debbie does not have much in the way of finances in these years, and this home was where she was spending her days in retirement. Many a family birthday and holiday were spent celebrating in that now burned our dining room. All these family traditions are now in jeopardy.

Through outreach and volunteering, Debbie is currently homeless and residing at an extended stay weekly hotel suite that costs $600 a month. Debbie's son, Shawn, is taking the lead on the repair and restoration efforts. Shawn is a single father and self employed, and has a very full plate of fiscal burdens, so it will take a very large village of great humans to band together and collectively lift one of our fellow humans from complete and total ruin and despair.

Unfortunately, due to limited financial resources, there was no insurance on this property, so the burden of the restoration of the Jones family home is falling on the Jones family. We are humbly asking for anything at all you can spare to help us summit this steep mountain. This is a very difficult thing for us to even put out here, but we are in dire straits. We humbly ask for any donation that you can spare.... even a little bit goes a long way... If you as well are struggling and cannot offer anything, we humbly ask for you to spread the word and share this. We need the good powers of humanity to rise up and help restore the family home and allow Debbie to return to the home she so dearly loves. Help us restore the Jones family household.

With respect, love, humility, and blessings -

Shawn and Debbie Jones
