Save deaf teacher’s mobil home

Fred Gravatt is a deaf teacher. He teaches hearing college students American Sign Language or ASL.
Fred is also a devoted, but divorced father, an ordained minister and Fred is my brother.
Fred lost his home in the recent meltdown of our nation’s criminally induced home loan collapse. That was the beginning of a personal path for Fred that lead to a broken marriage and near to financial ruin for Fred.
Rather than live on the street or shelters, Fred found a way of financing a home for himself; it was an older recreational vehicle that he could live in.
Fred continued to work teaching at several colleges in the Southern California area, earning enough money to pay for his loan payments and space rental for the RV home. One day it became necessary for him to move the RV due to the nearness of one of the recent Southern California forest fires. It was all he could do to escape to a nearby storage lot,
The RVs motor and transmission were having severe problems and were evidently failing.
This turn of events, just like a breakdown in anyone’s life support system, was a devastating blow to Fred.
He was already scraping by to make his current financial load and was now faced with a repair that would be impossible without some help.
Fred is a proud and strong man. He does not ask for help...even when he needs it. He prefers to find ways to solve his own problems...and has done so, all his life. I know my brother, better than anyone and I know how difficult this time is for him; facing an uncertain future with the investment he took a chance on, as his home. It is why I have chosen to take the lead in this project, because I know that Fred probably wouldn't take this action at all...because he is a proud and independent survivor.
Sometimes, life brings challenges that can benefit from a group approach. This is one of those challenging times for Fred. Fred is a good man, has lived a good life and now could use a helping hand from good friends.
Hopefully friends and family and anyone who has been taught anything in life about the value of teachers, know that teachers deserve all the help we can give them...when needed. Fred needs your help now. Anything that you can spare to donate, however small, will help get closer to the goal of saving Fred's home. The repair costs have been estimated to be several thousand dollars.
