​My dad, David, has been through hell since a devastating truck accident in 2013. A speeding truck hit him while he was pulled over, fusing the vehicles together and dragging them 100 meters. The initial accident was horrific, but the aftermath has been a decade-long nightmare.

​The True Cost of the Crash

​David has endured countless major surgeries—two spinal disk operations (L5/S1 rupture), a spinal cord implant, and reconstruction on his collarbone, wrist, and ankle.

​But the worst part is the unrelenting chronic pain. The damage to his spine completely destroyed the cartilage in both his hips. Now, he desperately needs a double hip replacement just to be able to stand and walk without agony.

​This endless physical suffering has completely broken him down mentally. David has been diagnosed with severe depression, anxiety, and PTSD. The pain became so unbearable that he was recently close to suicide. The only thing keeping him here are my brother and I. We are fighting for this surgery to save his life, not just his legs.
