PLEASE READ TO THE END

David Hart (who many of us have leaned on in our own times of need) is in serious need of our support right now. Dave’s family is having to make major adjustments in their lives (and financial situations) in order to give him a chance at recovery.

As you may already know, David has been diagnosed with what is known as “Locked In Syndrome”. This is a serious condition that has rendered him paralyzed entirely with the exception of eye movement and blinking, which he currently uses in a coherent manner to communicate (Up for “Yes”, and Down for “No”). He has done so since he suffered a major stroke on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. We have high hopes that he will recover on some level, but as the doctors have stated, “it is simply a waiting game at this point”.

In the meantime, David will need constant (day and night) supervision until he is further stabilized and rehabilitated. Therefore, funds are needed to make it possible for his sister, Casie Hart to move her entire life to Baton Rouge from Texas (thereby leaving her current job behind). This will have to occur while she sorts out what is sure to be a difficult situation to navigate physically, emotionally, and monetarily. It is going to be a lot of work.

As time goes on, I am certain that a path will become clear for Casie (and for everyone else involved). However, right now we humbly ask that David’s countless friends and loved ones provide a soft place to land for him and his family while we sort this out. These are wonderful people, and they deserve our help.
