Hey there! And thanks for checking out my GoFundMe to help pay for dental surgery I need to save my teeth. As many of you might know, I have spent my entire adult life (15+ years) as a professional road musician and recording artist, a lifestyle that has been very high impact on my body, and one with little opportunity to afford basic health care over the years . Prior to last year I have received no dental care/cleanings/fillings since about 2013, leaving my teeth in pretty rough shape.

In 2005 I knocked out my two front teeth in a skateboarding accident and had temporary caps put on, which after 20 years, have eroded away, leaving very little of the fake teeth stable. After several visits with a dentist in Northern Virginia I was told that my two front teeth are in a very bad condition and if they are not attended to soon I'm in danger of losing them altogether. This news has been hard to get, especially in recent years as my financial situation has also deteriorated significantly, through no fault of my own, but nonetheless leaving me in a pretty vulnerable situation.

I have been told that if I do not get a root canal on each of my front teeth ($1050 x 2) that my teeth are at risk of abscessing and will need to be extracted. The cost of the new teeth themselves is $3,736, bringing the total to almost $6,000, or roughly half my yearly income at the moment. I am grateful to have been approved for $2,500 through the MusicCares foundation, which will help me out a ton, but still leaves quite a bit of the bill to foot. I've also been told that if I don't act quickly, that the work/teeth implants would amount to about $14,000, making this a particularly time sensitive procedure.

I sincerely thank everyone who's appreciated my work over the years and understand that everyone is feeling the pinch financially right now, but if you have a little extra to give, it would go a long way to saving my smile.
