Since the beginning in 2012, The Copper Crust Company has been so much more than just a bakery and café. We’ve been a daily gathering place, a first job for neighborhood youth, a safe space for every person who walked through our doors, and a witness to your life's moments—from weekend morning coffee routines to wedding celebrations and heartfelt farewells. Now, after 14 years of serving York, we are facing our hardest moment yet, and we urgently need our community's help to survive.

Post-COVID, we tried to breathe life into a vacant neighboring storefront. However, bringing the aging building up to code and navigating soaring construction costs derailed that dream, leaving us carrying heavy footprint debts. We were unable to renegotiate out of the unaffordable space. This, along with accumulated pandemic debt, set us back and now with a summer slowdown, we are at a critical breaking point. As of this morning, without immediate relief, we will be forced to close within days.

We need to raise $100,000 to save Copper Crust and to provide for our team. Our vendors are already stepping up to help provide some of this need. Whether on George St. or at Stone Grille, we will do our best to continue to bring the Copper Crust experience to you. Thank you for everything!
