Save Cooper the little 2-month old stray puppy left to die

Hi friends,

My name is Aliae. I’m a college student, and I’ve been rescuing animals for 6 years. During this time, I’ve fostered and cared for many sweet strays, but today I’m asking for your help with my newest rescue — Cooper.

Cooper is just a 2-month-old puppy I found sleeping by the trash outside a grocery store. When I approached him, I was heartbroken — he was covered in scabies, painful skin infections, and even tiny worms crawling over his fragile body. I rushed to get gloves and food, but he was too weak to eat. After struggling to find a ride to the vet (no taxi or Uber would take him), I finally managed to get him there — for triple the normal cost.

At the hospital, the vets were shocked by his condition. After running tests, IV fluids, and examinations, they diagnosed him with:

Severe sarcoptic mange (scabies) — causing unbearable itching, hair loss, crusty infected skin, and weakness.

Puppy Parvovirus (early stage) — causing vomiting, bloody diarrhea, intestinal damage, loss of appetite, and a dangerously weak immune system.

The vets decided that Cooper needs 10 days of hospitalization because both illnesses are highly contagious and require intensive care. Sadly, I cannot bring him home, as it would risk the health of my other rescues.

The good news: The vets believe Cooper has a strong chance of recovery with treatment.

The hard part: Treatment is expensive, and I can’t cover it alone.

So far, I’ve already paid 528 CAD from my own savings, but the full cost is much higher. Cooper’s bill still has a remaining balance of 1,377 CAD. Without this, he cannot complete his treatment.

I normally would never ask, but Cooper’s life depends on it. Any help — no matter how small — will go directly to his care and, if anything remains, to my other rescues.

Please, help me give Cooper the chance to live the happy, healthy life he deserves.
