You may know, dental surgery is my next favorite way to help community cats besides the spay/neuter surgery. Dental Surgery Is Life Saving, and this fundraiser will help support our dental program! Each dental surgery costs approximately $600, medication during their recovery another $25.

Community Cats are particularly vulnerable when it comes to dental health. It is a matter of life or death:

~ Dental disease can, and often does, cause severe pain in cats, impacting their quality of life and even preventing their ability to eat.

~ Untreated dental disease can cause systemic harm throughout a cat's body: kidney, liver, and heart.

~ Gum inflammation (gingivitis) can lead to tooth loss, bone infection, and bacteria entering the bloodstream through diseased oral tissue.

When we see a Community Cat affected by poor dental health, you bet we will capture (or re-capture) them and provide them the care they need, and it is with the generous support of friends like YOU, that allow us to do so.

Whether cats in our adoption program, or being cared by our colony caretakers, we seek to help them live their best life.
