Commissary Lounge has been a staple to the independent music and nightlife scene in Costa Mesa for 12 years now. During that time the venue has hosted a million Djs, Amazing parties with Feel Good Collective crew, FocusOC and many others, and more recently great independent bands like Naked Aggression , The Adolescents & Union 13 and other killer bands.
The purpose of this fundraiser is to help preserve a great venue during these hard times. Due to the covid-19 restrictions, the venue has been unable to open and host ANYTHING since March 2020.
Since the shutdown, We have applied for everything under the sun for help, to no avail, and well, this is our Hail Mary, in hopes that the people that have frequented the venue could help us. The insane feels I'm getting writing this gives me a little hope that it might be enough to get us back open when things are ok...whenever that will be...My goal of $40,000.00 is barely half of what we are looking at now, but it would help a lot!
I can't even believe I'm writing this, but Please Help Us so we can continue to provide independent DJs, Live musical acts and a good damn time when the dust settles..Sadly, without your help, I'm not sure we will be able to continue to do that...We aren't owned by shareholders, or investors or some big corporation whatsoever,we are a 100% independently owned business!
-its just one person behind this trying to keep the ship from sinking.
Funds raised from this campaign will go towards Rent, Utilities and a stack of bills & invoices which we have not been able to keep up with since the shutdown and just MIGHT keep us around, which would mean the world to Me and every Dj, Band and party involved with Us.
