Save Columbia Secondary's Cheer Program

Donation protected
The long-standing and very popular Cheerleading program at Columbia Secondary School (a public school in Harlem serving grades 6-12) is at risk of being eliminated due to after- school programming budget cuts.

Cheer is a unique and important part of our school culture. It is the only sport in our school that bridges both our middle school and high school populations, allowing for team-building, personal growth, confidence development, and peer mentoring. Our Cheer program is open to any student who wants to participate, without tryouts or fees. Cheerleading is an exceptional and inclusive sport at Columbia Secondary School and has given participants the opportunity to perform at local college sporting events, the Macy’s Day Parade, and regional competitions.

Unfortunately, due to budget cuts, cheerleading was recently removed from our after-school programming but we still have a chance to offer this popular sport with this fundraiser. Donations will be used for training costs, costume supplies, and competition fees.
