My sweet 5-year-old Persian, Coco, is currently hospitalized in the ICU department at AMC Hospital on the Upper East Side for a blood transfusion and undergoing other diagnostic testing with the internist to figure out where she is internally bleeding and why. This is my last chance to save her. I've taken her to countless ER and vet appointments over the last few weeks, doing testing and supportive care at home, only for her condition to worsen overnight. The out-of-pocket costs have already been astronomical, and the bills will continue to rise as they do several more work-ups with the specialists to try and save her life.
