Save Coby: Emergency Surgery Needed

Hi everyone,

Reaching out to you with a heavy heart as my beloved dog, Coby, is facing a life-threatening situation. Recently, we found out that he needs emergency gallbladder removal surgery. Without this procedure, his life is at serious risk.

As you can imagine, this news has been incredibly difficult for us, both emotionally and financially. The cost of the surgery and post-operative care is overwhelming, and we're doing everything we can to give Coby the best chance at a healthy, happy life.

Coby has been a huge part of my mother's and I story being in America and since the first day he walked into our lives, it became clear he was the missing piece we never knew we were missing. While his quality of life is at risk at this moment, his post-op quality of life will continue to be the same. He is healthy all around, it's this emergency that threw us off. Any and all support would mean the world to me and my mother, it breaks our heart to see him in pain. That's why I'm asking for your help.

UPDATE Sun Aug 4

Coby has been hospitalized since Saturday night. We left him at the University of Florida Small Animal Hospital with the goal to stabilize him, reduce pain, inflammation, and get a new ultrasound. Ultrasound is happening Mon Aug 5th at some point in the morning.

The doctors wanted to get an updated ultrasound to determine the exact game plan to save Coby.

The response has been amazing. Thank you for helping us reach our original 5K goal. Grateful, thankful, appreciative does not even scratch the surface of how my mother, Coby, and I feel.

Due to the hospitalization and updated estimated we received today, we are updating the goal to $10k to save Coby.

This is where the funds will go:

- $300 Emergency Vet visit Fri Aug 3

- $1100 at his primary vet Sat Aug 4

- Up to $3500 for having him at the hospital under care Sat Aug 3 - Tue Aug 5

So far, up to $4900 could be spent at the minimum. The surgery will cost between $4k-$6k. Anything that is left over will go to Coby and his post-op care. Thank you for all the donations so far. , please continue sharing, sending love, and keeping our family in prayer.
