Save Cob Cottage Company!
For over 30 years Ianto Evans and Linda Smiley Evans have been inspiring the world with their vision of "Hand Sculpted Houses" but now the future of their 400 acre property and their life mission is at risk!
These two visionaries have empowered countless everyday people to build their own beautiful homes with their own hands out of natural materials. And they have launched a revolution which is the Natural Building Movement. Headquarters for this movement, for over 20 years, has been Cob Cottage Company's homestead in Coquille, Oregon.
Thousands of hands (and feet!) have gone into the sculpting this entirely unique array of world famous buildings, garden walls, gardens, orchards, all nestled in one of the world's most unique and special rainforests of ancient trees and epic beauty. This special place has inspired the world and changed many lives, but now there is a real risk of losing the land.
Cob Cottage Company has never been a big money deal; in fact the ethic all along has been the opposite. Ianto and Linda have inspired a passionate worldwide movement with their sheer vision, commitment to their environmental and social values, and A LOT OF creativity! But now they need a substantial amount of money and we need it fast.
We're asking for your help. For all those that have had their lives changed the way that I have by Linda and Ianto's work and the amazing stuff that is cob, we are humbly requesting your donation. The money would be used to purchase the land, which would secure it for the future work of Cob Cottage Company and guarantee the land will be in good hands after Ianto and Linda's lifetime lease ends. They need to raise $250,000 by January 31 or they may lose control of this land.
Ianto and Linda have given so much to life, we trust that life will return it in kind and this is our intention and prayer. Thank you to all who are moved to support them!
