Danica is an inspiring woman. She left a difficult situation to pursue her dream of opening a bookstore. She was able to start at an online presence which was a good start, especially in the heart of our pandemic. She then was able to secure a “pop up” location for a season which ended up lending itself for a year. This was the perfect start. She hunted down a home for her permanent bookstore in the area of her dreams, Newport Village in Port Moody. She had tons of help from friends and made the transition! 3 weeks into her new, permanent home, an unexpected flood happened, closing her store doors for a little while. Danica’s only source of income comes from her store’s profits and I want to support her as she navigates through this difficult time.
