I typically find it uncomfortable to ask for help, but today I find myself in a situation that I cannot face alone. This past Saturday morning, my senior dog, Cinnamon, an 11-year-old pug, underwent emergency surgery. She has always been a healthy and vibrant dog, and I never saw this coming. As a single mom, I work hard to provide for my family, including my son and our pets. Cinnamon has been by my side through the toughest moments of my life, and the thought of losing her is unimaginable.

During her surgery, Cinnamon faced complications and aspirated, making it difficult for her to breathe without assistance. When she came out of surgery, her blood pressure and temperature were critically low, requiring immediate intervention with heating blankets, fluids, and medication. The veterinary team has been diligently caring for her, providing oxygen, nebulizer treatments, and monitoring her condition closely. While her x-rays show that her lungs are clear, she continues to struggle with fluid coming from her nose.

The ongoing care that Cinnamon requires has placed a significant financial strain on my family. I have been advised to reach out for assistance in covering these unexpected medical bills.
