This is Chris Micca. You might know him as the Scrubby Doo guy. If so, he comes to your home and grooms your dog in his mobile dog-grooming unit.
You might know him from the music scene. He's been part of it for roughly 18 years. He played with Little Mascara, The Malamondos, The Lake Isle and currently Sam Frazier and the Side Effects.
You might see him peddling his bike through Greensboro. It's his favorite form of exercise. Or he might be your neighbor and you run into him at the local grocery store, Bestway, or at Sticks and Stones or the Corner Farmer's Market.
However you know him, you know that Chris is a kind, generous, compassionate and talented being. But you may not know that he is losing the use of his hand.
It's happened before in his right hand: severe carpal tunnel syndrome, for which surgery was the only option. Now, it's happening to his left hand. Surgery needs to be performed. And the sooner the better.
We need Chris to keep grooming our dogs. It's his livelihood. We need him to keep playing music. It feeds his soul and keeps us dancing. We need a happy healthy Chris Micca. And we need to help him with his outrageously high co-pay so he can have his surgery. This is where you come in.
Chris is experiencing a great deal of pain on a daily basis. The only option for relief is this surgery. It will take some time to recover afterwards, so we need to help him with expenses while he's not able to work. If all the Chris Micca fans chip in a little bit of cash, we will have him in the hospital and getting the care he needs in no time.
