Save Chris from becoming homeless

Hi, my name is Leonie, and I’m writing this with a heavy heart.

Chris is one of the kindest, most generous souls I’ve ever met. In my darkest times, when I was emotional

broke and down, he was there. No questions asked. He’s the kind of man who gives, even when he has nothing left for himself.

But now, Chris is the one who needs help. And he’s too proud to ask for it himself.

After rupturing his Achilles tendon overseas, Chris went in for surgery, trusting that his travel insurance would cover the costs. But things took a turn for the worse. Complications led to a series of emergency surgeries – two debridements, a sural flap, four more debridements, and a skin graft – leaving him hospitalized, vulnerable, and drowning in medical bills.

To pay for just one round of surgeries, Chris had to take out a $50,000 loan. He followed all the right steps, filed claims, chased emails for months – but the insurance company is refusing to pay, citing “uncovered activities” when all he was doing was basic exercise. The truth is buried in technicalities and fine print.

Now he’s back home, still requiring at least two more surgeries – another $50,000 he simply doesn’t have. He’s physically unable to return to work, emotionally worn down, and financially destroyed. His special professional insurance – a requirement to work in his field – is another $2,500/year he cannot afford.

And now… Chris is on the verge of homelessness.

Yes – homelessness. After all he’s been through. After all the love and support he’s given to others.

He won’t let friends or family help – he’s always tried to carry everything on his own. But I can’t stand by and watch this man lose everything.
