Save Charlie: Urgent Tail Amputation Needed

This is Charlie. He is 4 months old. We found him 2 months ago on the verge of death, he was skin and bones and extremely sick. My son Johnny who is 15 has completely nursed him back to health and now he’s a happy kitty On Sunday night he was under the couch(which

we didn’t know) and the recliner was turned on and his tail got wrapped up in the reclining motor and his tail was “degloved “ after a visit to the vet it was determined since the bone is exposed he will need part of his tail amputated. Since this happened a few days ago, it is already severely infected and there is no other option because the skin will never grow back over the bone and the infection will eventually spread to his spine. I have tried applying for the care credit and was denied. Which is what lead me here asking for help. The vet quoted us $823-$1200. As a single mother of 2 and barely getting by as is and with the holidays almost here I would greatly appreciate any help so we can get Charlie the help he needs before it’s too late.
