As some of you know Charlie came to board with me at Willow Creek Ranch & Boarding PV in really rough shape last year. With the vets help we decided to give him 3 months to see if he could turn around his health. It took a lot of work over the last year to heal his rainrot and get him to put weight on but Charlie proved he was up for the fight and he is now at a healthy weight and is sound and thriving. His owners have made the hard choice to surrender him to me to be put down if I can't find a solution. He is a hard keeper so his monthly care is expensive and at some point owners have to make that tough choice. I have 12 other horses here so as much as I would like to just take him over, I can not take over his costs. If we can raise enough money to cover his feed and vet costs he can stay here on the property and in my care and save him from being put down for now while he is still thriving. He desperately needs his teeth done and is currently only eats a large mix mash for feed to keep his weight on. Lets try and save Charlie!
