Save Cecile from oesophageal cancer

My mum Cecile Uwamaliya, a genocide survival, is now struggling to survive a cancer that's been just diagnosed.
Cecile is an amazing mum and a primary teacher in Rwanda. She is a strong and inspirational woman, an advocate for women education, a passionate educator, and a dedicated mother of five children. After the Genocide of Tutsi in Rwanda, she decided to dedicate the rest of her life to childhood education. She has left such an impression on so many young children that have been in her care over the last 24-years of her teaching career until recently.

Two months ago Cecile started to complain about chest pain like heartburn. After few weeks, her pain got worse and profusely irradiating to the right side of her chest. Cecile could not swallow any solid food even soup-like meal. Ultimately an endoscopy of the oesophagus was done and revealed a large sized tumour in her oesophagus. . A biopsy of this tumour showed invasive cancer. Additional clinical and radiological exams showed that the cancer was limited to the oesophagus and has not spread in other part of the body, which is an important finding according to the doctors as its give a hope of potential cure if a curative therapy is applied as soon as possible. The family has been told that the curative therapy is such case is a combination of chemotherapy and radiation completed with surgery. Unfortunately, in Rwanda where my mum lives, there is no radiation facility and she must go abroad. The closest and affordable place is India and this the breakdown of the cost:

1.    PET-Scan and blood investigation: 1400 AUD
2.    Chemotherapy and radiation: 8000 AUD
3.    Surgery: 11000 AUD
4.    Accommodation for 4 months in India: 3200 AUD
5.    Living expenses and other medications: 1600 AUD
6.    Airfare Kigali to India 800 AUD

I'm starting a goFundme on behalf of the family and your life saving support will be appreciated. Cecile may survive a second time because of your support.
