Save Caydie's Leg: Urgent Medical Fund

Hello.

my name is Steven Scott and I currently live in Saluda , VA.

I live on a small farm and have been here for almost 30 years. I'll be 70 yrs old this coming January, and much of the field work is done by others, these days.

Well, I have a sweet little dog named Caydie. She is an American Bully with a touch of Pit Bull I was told when we got her years ago from a local rescue organization, who named her Cadence...

She is cute. She's pretty smart too. Because she is mostly a bully her face is crowded back and her nose is short which makes us focus on her eyes when looking at her. Her short nose helps her snore most nights and I find that very helpful to me to get to sleep...

A very good friend of mine was cutting the fields for hay the last few days. He loved Caydie too. Unfortunately when he was changing the mower to hayrake, Caydie went under his tractor to get into some shade, and when he started back to fields her right sideback leg was caught under a tractor tire. It was crushed just above her "knee" . I doubt we can have the broken bones successfully set, not even sure what will the vets will ultimately do. But I am taking her to the pet hospital tomorrow and have been told that it will be very expensive, could be well over two grand. The other option is to put her down, and I just cant live with that. I appreciate any help you can give us, and I thank you for your effort, financial help and concern ahead of time.
