Hello, my name's Sam, and this is my beloved dog Cashew.
She's 13 years old, and I have raised her since she was a puppy. She has been my best friend ever since I was just a boy in elementary school, and I'm so grateful to have been given the opportunity to watch her grow into the beautiful dog she is now. But I'd be even more grateful to be able to watch her grow even more. Unfortunately, however, after two vet visits and some testing, we found out that Cashew has a malignant tumor (mammary neoplasia) growing underneath one of her breasts. The vets said that, if left untreated, it's likely that the cancer will spread to the rest of her body, and she'll die within a few months to a year.
As most pet owners may know, vet bills are not cheap (sadly). As a college student, I'm already struggling enough to pay for my bills and tuition, and I just don't have enough money to pay for the surgery out-of-pocket. The vets don't accept payment plans, so I'm actively searching for other options. As it stands, everything (testing, surgery, medication) is going to cost a little over $3,800.
I'm well aware that $3,800 is a lot of money, so I'm not at all expecting to reach the goal. I greatly appreciate anybody who donates, but please, don't go out of your way to do so if you aren't in a good financial position. I don't want this burden to become anybody else's.
If anybody wants more information, please let me know and I'll be glad to provide it. Thank you for your time.
