Carly is a 2-year-old hound mix! She is genuinely the sweetest dog and will love anyone that looks in her direction. Carly, unfortunately, in all her curiosity, found a bag of chocolate and ate a majority of it. As a result, she had to be taken into the emergency room and has an extremely high red blood cell count and is throwing up and pooping blood. The doctors are not sure she will make it, but the treatment for her is looking to cost around $4500 total if they can save her. I brought her in at midnight last night and they told me she was lucky to be alive at that point. Carly is a fighter and I know she’ll pull through. She’s not ready to leave yet and I’m not ready to give up on her. Her vet estimate right now is $4500.
