Hello I'm Capones daddy Robert. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Sunday afternoon March 23rd Capone was run over and I could tell right away his leg was broken. I carried him immediately to the 24 hour emergency animal hospital where they examined and ex-rayed Capone and found Capones femur broken in three place's. They set us up with medicine and an appointment to see the surgeon on March 25th. They wanted me to leave Capone with them for observation but the bill was already $1000.00, I explained to the doctor that I was on a fixed income because of spine and neck disorders and that I seriously needed to save every penny I had right then and there to pay the surgeon, so could I please take Capone home and watch and care for him myself, thankfully the doctor agreed after explaining to me that it's sometimes alot cheaper and affordable to take the leg by amputation. Things have been really hard but I was able to pay them for the emergency care and stayed positive and somewhat calm that somehow I will be able to pay the surgeon if fixing Capones leg is at all possible. The surgery bill is between $8 and 9 thousand and they needed $8,000.00 now to take him in for surgery and 300.00 in 3 months for Capones last x-rays. Every week I take him in to make sure his femur is healing properly and all those appointments are included. I was able to pay them by using everything I had in my checking account and maxed out every credit card I own and then some so I'm feeling really blessed Capones able to keep his leg but I would be alot less stressed and sick feeling to have some help paying this debt off and that's why I put 4 thousand because I know it's hard for so many folks right now. Much love respect and kindness to all.
4/1/2025 Update on our boy Capone
Capone went for his weekly checkup for his bandage change and the surgeon was very happy with Capones leg, Capones bones are fusing very nicely to each other and the surgeon said Capone didn't need his leg back in the bandage and pinned back up. Capone is able to walk on all 4 legs with a limp but Capones a wonder dog no doubt.
Thank you everyone for all your help and positive vibes, I can breathe a lot easier now with the funds you all were able to help me with so please just know that every dollar went and still goes towards Capone and his doctors. He is truly "A lucky dog" Love you all from the bottom of my heart and again thank you ❤️
