Dear friends, family, and supporters,
We are reaching out on behalf of Gilbert Hernandez Sr., an Army veteran who turned his life around after a difficult past. Gilbert opened California Tattoos, a thriving business that is more than just a tattoo shop—it’s a hub for the Chicano community and a source of mentorship and hope.
Unfortunately, the shop faced a devastating setback when the roof leaked, causing mold and forcing the business to close for nine months. During that time, they lost talented tattoo artists, business revenue, and even nearly lost their home. Now that the roof is finally repaired, they’re back in business and hiring talented artists again. But the landlord is threatening to take the location away because of back rent.
We need your help to keep this vital community hub alive. Your donations will help cover back rent, rebuild the business, and continue the community programs that Gilbert runs.
Thank you for your support—every contribution counts.
With gratitude,
Gilbert Hernandez Sr. and the California Tattoos Team
