Save Bunny and Her Dogs from Homelessness

Hi, my name is Bunny Carlson, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and a desperate plea for help. I’m 48 years old, living on disability due to health issues, and I share my home with my 13 beloved rescue dogs. These dogs are my family, my companions, and my reason to keep going every day.

A few years ago, I fell behind on my property taxes and had to take out a loan from a property tax lender to save my home. At the time, I thought it was my only option to avoid foreclosure. But life has thrown me more challenges than I could have imagined. My health deteriorated, forcing me onto disability, which drastically reduced my income. On top of that, caring for my 13 dogs—providing food, medical care, and a safe place to live—has stretched every penny I have.

Now, the lender has informed me that I owe $9,000, and if I can’t pay it within the next month, I will lose my home. This would not only leave me homeless but would also put my dogs at risk of being separated and possibly sent to shelters. The thought of losing my home and my dogs is unbearable.

I’ve always been someone who tries to handle things on my own, but I’ve reached a point where I can’t do this without help. Starting this GoFundMe was not an easy decision, but it’s my last hope.

The funds raised will go directly toward paying off the $9,000 I owe to the property tax lender. Anything beyond that will go toward ensuring my dogs are cared for while I work to stabilize my finances. Every dollar, every share, every word of encouragement means the world to me and my furry family.

My dogs and I have overcome so much together, but now we’re at risk of losing the one thing we all need: our home. If you can, please help us keep our family together. Your generosity can save not just a house but the only sense of security we’ve ever known.

Update: Lender has now also charged Bunny with their lawyer fees as well and were added on to her bill an extra almost $700. So goal was adjusted to reflect that.
