Save Buddy: Help Us Fight This Infection

Update on Buddy:

His fever has finally broken, but unfortunately the damage to his skin is severe, and it’s uncertain if he’ll be able to heal and won’t be able to get a biopsy to see exactly what’s causing it. It's too expensive to keep him hospitalized, so we’re bringing him home tonight to care for him ourselves and keep hoping for a miracle. Thank you all for your support and prayers — we were really hoping for better news.

Help us help Buddy. He unfortunately woke up today with a huge mass around his shoulder and neck. They believe it is an infection from something that ruptured and might be caused by a mast cell tumor. He needs to be in the hospital for a minimum of 2 days for IV antibiotics before they can get to the source for a biopsy due to the amount of swelling and pus. We are hoping it is just an infection from a ruptured cyst and not cancerous. Any help for our family pup is appreciated so we can get him home feeling better.

4/27 update: Buddy’s fever went down slightly and he finally ate his first meal. Hoping he’s doing better tomorrow so we can get some answers and get him started on oral antibiotics instead of IV. It looks like they will be keeping him a little longer than anticipated
