⭐️ TRIGGER WARNING ⭐️
Long post but please read
What a difference 2 weeks makes ❤️
Everyone meet Buddy the German Shepard…. Buddy was seized from a home in Horry county here in South Carolina at the beginning on January this year, he was seized along with other dogs on the property as a cruelty case
Buddy (Barqs) was taken to the Horry County Animal Care Center weighing just 37lbs!!! He lived his entire life in a pen 6ftx 3ft with absolutely no human contact other than being fed occasionally , me and G were out and about doing our thing when something told us we should go to the shelter, anyone that knows us knows how that would most likely end! (Don’t judge I love animals more than people) We weren’t looking for an animal in particular we just felt drawn to go, so we did.
We were greeted by our friend Harley and we explained why we where there. They know us fairly well as you can imagine with the help we do and she took us to the kennels.
Big dogs, small dogs, loud dogs, quiet dogs, young dogs and old dogs all being exceptionally cared for, despite them all needing a home they didn’t feel right for us, we took some out for a little exercise and love never the less….. THEN after about an hour Harley says would you consider a German Shepard, we looked at each other and said absolutely if that’s what the universe intended, she warns us a little of Buddy’s story and goes to fetch him. Out comes the saddest broken soul I have ever seen Buddy had absolutely started giving up on life and his purpose it was absolutely heartbreaking to see his empty soul not even knowing how to be a dog. Harley then explains that he is heavily heartworm positive a disease that if left untreated will be fatal!! and they are not sure of his treatment plan as the shelter can not afford to pay for it ($500 per animal) and because of his lack of human love (despite her ama zing efforts) and the extreme stress of kennel life his weight gain was increasing but so very slow, his outlook for rehoming was almost non existent
So needless to say we brought buddy home and his treatment starts on the 21st of February ❤️
⭐️ You can already see the difference in just 2 weeks, ⭐️
There are currently 22 dogs in Horry country animal care shelter that need heartworm treatment and as an incentive to help and encouragement the shelter has reduced the cost to $250 per animal for the remainder of February….. please please I ask that if your able to make a donation to these beautiful dogs to help them find homes and the love they deserve please do, even the smallest of donations will go such a long way!!
Thank you so much for reading this on behalf of Us and Buddy and his Buddies ❤️
