Save Brian's Home: Donate for Medical Relief

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Julie, and I am creating this page for my Uncle Brian in hopes that we can raise money to save him from having to sell his house due to his medical complications.

On December 24, 2024, Brian was admitted to the hospital with a deep wound on his foot that had developed a severe infection, almost reaching the bone. Brian is diabetic and suffers from neuropathy in his legs, which means he can no longer feel anything from the knees down. He was unaware of the wound until he noticed pus on his sock. Once at the hospital, he was put on antibiotics and bed rest for three days.

Unfortunately, to fully heal and prevent further infection, Brian was ordered to stay home and avoid putting any weight on his foot for at least four months. Because of this, he has been fighting to keep his machinist job since January, but his company has refused his request for disability-even though he physically cannot stand without the help of a scooter.

At the start of May, the infection returned. A portion of the wound will not heal and put him back on antibiotics. If his doctor does not see improvement in the next few weeks the only option left is amputation.

His job has told him that if he is not back by June, they will replace him and as of today 5/26/25 he is officially unemployed.

My uncle lives alone. His wife passed away unexpectedly in 2021 from an autoimmune disease. Since then, he has been required to pay off her $500,000 in medical bills. He is currently paying his wife’s bills, his own, his mortgage, and normal everyday expenses-all with no income. He is almost out of savings, and if he can not find another by August, he will be forced to sell his house.

If you would be so kind as to consider donating, it would mean the world to us.

I did not grow up with a father, and my uncle was the closest thing I had to one. He has always called me his own daughter. Many times, sitting in the hospital rooms with him over the last few months, I did not know if it would be the last time. But he has hope. I just want to be able to help him more than I am now, and seeing him lose the only reminder he has left of his wife while he is still on this earth is just not an option.
