Save Braxton: Surgery Needed for His Legs
Donation protected

Hi, we’re Jeff and Anjie, and we’re raising funds for our sweet boy, Braxton. He’s a 3-year-old Shihpoo and will be turning 4 this November.
On Friday, we took Braxton to the vet because he had a fever. They gave him medication and ran some bloodwork—everything came back normal, and he seemed to be doing okay. He was still his playful, loving self that night.
But by Saturday morning, everything changed.
He suddenly couldn’t walk. He collapsed, and by the end of the day, he was paralyzed from the waist down. Our vet suspects IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease)—a painful spinal condition that can lead to paralysis. He’s currently on strong medication to manage the pain, but if his condition doesn’t improve, he may need emergency spinal surgery.
We’ve been referred to a specialist in Nashville or Indianapolis, but the costs are incredibly overwhelming. Between consultations, imaging (like an MRI), surgery, and aftercare, the total could range from $4,000 to $8,000+.

Estimated Costs:
• MRI Scan: $2,500 – $4,000
• Specialist Consultations: $200 – $400
• Pain Medication & Care: $300+
• Wheelchair & Mobility Aids: $150 – $250
• Emergency Surgery (if needed): $5,000 – $10,000
• Post-Surgery Rehab: $500 – $1,500

Braxton isn’t just a dog—he’s our baby. He’s full of personality. He loves to play ball, he’s a huge people-pleaser, he lives to eat, and yes—he’s a little dramatic and loves to whine for attention. He brings so much joy and laughter to our home, and it breaks our hearts to see him like this.
We want to give Braxton every chance to walk, run, and be himself again. If you’re able to help in any way—or even just share this fundraiser—it would mean the world to us.
Thank you for supporting us and helping Braxton on his road to recovery.
With love,
Jeff, Anjie & Braxton
