The Promise Was Kept. Now We Keep Going.

For nearly 30 years, Bramblewood Stables has been more than a farm. It has been a sanctuary where horses heal people, people heal horses, and the wild edges are left to grow.

A year ago, this community accomplished something remarkable.

Together, we saved Bramblewood.

Because of thousands of people who believed this work was worth preserving, we found our forever home at Lavender Hill. Nearly 30 acres of historic farmland are now home to Bramblewood Stables, and every day we wake up grateful that the story didn't end.

It simply entered a new chapter.

The Heart of Bramblewood

Bramblewood is not just where horses live. It's where people find their way back to themselves.

Since 2000, Bramblewood has been a refuge for riders, caretakers, families, veterans, children, volunteers, and anyone seeking a deeper connection with horses, the land, and the rhythms of the natural world.

During that time, I have been Bramblewood's steward. I've cared for aging horses and frightened beginners. I've buried beloved friends in the pasture and celebrated new life in the spring. I've watched children become adults, riders become volunteers, and strangers become family.

The horses have always been part of the story.

The land has been the other half.

What We're Building Now

When we arrived at Lavender Hill, the fundraising naturally became quiet.

We had made it.

There were horses to settle in with tragic losses along the way, fences to build, pastures to restore, water lines to repair, trees to clear after storms, areas to improve, and an historic property that greeted us every morning with another project waiting.

One year later, we are still building.

Every donation now goes directly toward preserving and improving this working horse farm so it can serve both the community and the land for generations to come.

Why This Still Matters

Horse farms are quietly disappearing.

Every year, more open land becomes neighborhoods, shopping centers, and roads. Once a pasture is paved, it rarely becomes a pasture again.

Places like Bramblewood offer something increasingly rare. They preserve agriculture. They protect wildlife habitat. They keep green space alive. They teach children where food comes from, where animals belong, and what responsibility looks like. They offer room to breathe in a world that keeps getting louder.

Our hope has always been bigger than one farm.

We want to demonstrate that a community can come together to preserve places like this before they're gone.
