Hi! My name is Tina, and I am fundraising for Borna Cultural House, where I am a student and volunteer at this Persian language and cultural school located in Walnut Creek, California. Borna is led by founders and executives, Dalileh Alaei and Azam Nasehpour. At Borna, the mission is to maintain and foster Persian culture and language for the next generation of Iranian-Americans and all who wish to emerge themselves in Persian culture. Borna offers a variety of classes including Farsi language literacy and comprehension, Art, Music, and more. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, Borna cultural school is in need of fundraising in order to remain open and functioning. All funds gathered will directly benefit the students and staff at Borna: to purchase new classroom supplies, such as story books, pencils, markers, paper, glue, notebooks, instruments, and to expand Borna staff, etc. As a steadily growing school, Borna is in need of funds to maintain the growth of students and to support staff and volunteers. At Borna, the mission is to inspire and cultivate passion for Persian culture, and create a community for Persian-Americans to learn about and value their roots and culture. Borna prides itself on out of the box thinking and creativity, engaging students in a way that will best benefit their unique individual learning abilities and clear communication and relationships with families. All teachers at Borna Cultural House are native Farsi speakers and Persian-American with the passion for passing on Persian language and culture to the next generation. All students are welcome at Borna, ranging in age from 3 and up, and are able to join private tutoring sessions, classes, summer camps, cultural events, and more.
