Save BooBoo's vision & help pay for her surgery!
Hello my name is Mekhail, and I am fundraising money for BooBoo, my Golden Retriever/Golden Labrador to receive the eye surgery that she desperately needs.BooBoo is my beautiful 1 year old puppy, Emotional Support Animal and only family member that I have. BooBoo was born with an eye abnormality called Entropion.
What is Entropion?
Eye lids are permanently rolled inwards causing hair and eyelashes to rub the surface of the eyelid and cornea.
Signs of Entropia
BooBoo is experiencing several of the following signs:
- Squinting
- Holding eyes shut
- Mucoid discharge
- Scratching at eyes and face
- Excessive Tearing
- Consistent pain
- Irritation and red eyes
- Depression
Long Term Issues without Treatment
- Scarring
- Eye infection
- Corneal ulcerations
- Blindness
- Depression
BooBoo looks as if she is sad at all times with dark tear marks that extend down her face and has looked like this since she was a little puppy.
And continued as she grew:
She is constantly scratching at her eyes, not understanding that she can't reach what's bothering her. She keeps them closed or squints to ease her pain, and it breaks my heart.
5 months ago our Veteranarian explained that BooBoo should have surgery before turning 1 years old in order to prevent many of the long term problems with this condition . He referred us to an Opthalmologist and consulted with a Specialist, all of whom recommended to book the surgery as soon as possible as they could see the amount of pain that she is in and state of her condition.
I try to always go above and beyond and do everything in my power to support BooBoo and I's very simple lifestyle, and ensuring all of her needs are met and she is taken care of. But it's been 5 months and despite all my best efforts I still have been unable to save up the necessary funds to book BooBoo's surgery along the cost of consultations and other necessary costs that go along with it ( see attached photo at the bottom).
BooBoo is an amazing dog and brings happiness to everyone around her but her symptoms are getting worse every day and I'm desperate for my loving puppy to get the help she needs to be able to enjoy her life, be happy and painfree like she deserves.
