Save Boo: Support His Critical Surgery

I'm Lucy, and I'm desperately trying to raise funds for a critical surgery for my 8-year-old cat, Boo. More than just a pet, Boo is the most social, playful, and cuddly boy I've ever met. He's my Boy, my buddy and my cheerleader. He is pure love, trust, and acceptance, greeting everyone he meets with his sweet and easy-going nature. His favorite activities involve spending every day with his people and even appreciates it when we bring a chair (and a booster seat) to the party so he can sit at the table and be part of the action (never begging for human food, just wanting to be included in the festivities).

Boo is turning 9 in June and this month he has had 2 urinary blockages, a very dangerous condition for male cats. He's already been through the painful and costly process of having a blockage cleared, and sadly, his veterinarian has informed me that he is at high risk for future blockages.

The thought of what I'll do without him is so painful I can barely bring myself to think of our family without him. Boo has been my light, getting me through really sad and stressful times, always putting my worries and hardships into perspective. After all, how bad can things really be when those big, beautiful eyes look up at you with so much love and hope in them?

The only long-term solution for Boo and to prevent these life-threatening episodes is a surgery called a perineal urethrostomy (PU). This procedure will reroute his urethra, making it wider and significantly reducing the chances of future blockages. Unfortunately my family and I cannot afford this surgery on our own and if he blocks again, the urgency of the emergency will leave us with few options. I'm asking for your help so that Boo can live the long and happy life he deserves.
