In order to do this, we need to carry out essential works to ensure the building is wind and watertight and does not deteriorate any further. The £150,000 will be used to repair the roof, pointing and skylights to ensure these survive another 25 winters. This work will allow us to open more of the building to public access and fundraising events.
After having several studies and inspections of the building we are delighted to report that it is in serviceable condition, however without this essential work and ongoing maintenance that may not be the case after another winter.
Bon Accord Heritage will be working to secure match funding, and shall keep you updated on our progress, here, on our website and our social media platforms.
Any donation big or small is much appreciated! If you are looking to donate hundreds of pounds then, please get in touch as we are working on another fundraising plan that may be of interest to you.
