Help Bogie bear : Urgent Surgery and Care Needed

Tragedy has struck my babies again. One of my son’s “friends” tied a rubber band to the tip of Bogie’s tail while I was at work last week. You could not see the rubber band under the fur at all, and it was on until I removed it. Probably for at least 24 hours. His tail became necrotic and he started self-amputating as the tissue died. There is blood splatter all over my home. It is VERY difficult to manage. He required a surgery when the tail finished dying and became infected, and had an amputation Tuesday, costing 2000. That doesn’t include cleaning and wound supplies, medications, and multiple vet visits. Today, he managed to reach his nub, work off the wrap, and pull out several sutures. Blood everywhere again, and I’m not even finished cleaning up the first blood bath. He is now currently in surgery, AGAIN. The worst part is he is the simplest, sweetest, most gentle boy who truly is so upset and not understanding what’s happening. He NEVER deserved such suffering. He screamed in fear and soiled himself when going back to the vet today.

My other dog has a cancerous growth to his nipple that we scheduled surgery for due to its rapid growth, but now that is delayed because I don’t have money for both.
