Boca Botanas Tapas Bar is always working hard to make sure they provide the best service to their customers and vendors. This includes communicating the recent setbacks caused by the Coronavirus (COVID-19). While the novel virus has affected all forms of business, it has especially affected restaurants like Boca Botanas. They rely on a constant flow of customers to keep the business afloat; however, over the last couple of weeks they have witnessed a sharp decrease in the amount of people walking into Boca Botanas.
Last week they had to close their doors indefinitely due to the impact that COVID-19 has had on the local restaurant industry. In order to save the business from going under, owner Michael Carranza needs to take drastic measures. He is looking into an emergency loan however is calling on the community for support in his time of need. Michael's main concern at this time is to provide relief and comfort to the staff in the kitchen, who rely on their work to provide to their families. If you have dined at Boca, you probably know about Chef Oscar!
Boca Botana's has been a staple in the Gaithersburg and Montgomery County dining community since they opened in 2015. Personally, Michael is one of the most generous and kind people I know, and always shows hospitality and kindness to his patrons and friends.
