Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love my cat. Bindi has been such an important emotional support for me while I was living alone and going to school. She can be a little brat sometimes but that’s why I love her. Over the past year, she’s been struggling with suspected pancreatitis causing her to vomit and not eat pretty often and is managed with medications. Recently she has been going through what I thought was a flare up, unfortunately this was not the case. Upon taking her to the vet, a huge cyst was found internally and the vet said she had never seen anything like it. This cyst is pushing against her organs and due to the size and limited technology at the non ER vet we took her too, they were unable to tell what it’s attached to and what it’s filled with, therefore it could not be drained. We also did lab work and her liver levels are off the charts high. Potential treatment is going to require hospitalization because she is dehydrated along with possible feeding tubes, a higher definition ultrasound and possible CT, just to see what kind of surgery would be needed. Anything would help go to the cost of treatment or if worst comes to worse… euthanasia (which I would love to not have to think about)
