Save Billy Ray

Chances are if you know me you know all about Billy and just how much he means to me.

12years ago billy was loaned to me to while I learnt how to ride. He looked after me for that first year while I came to terms with heels down and look up.

Once I had the basics covered he steadily and safely brought be around my first hacks, hunts, hunter trails and even tried his leg at showjumping for me.

Over those first years together Billy gave me some of the best memories of my life and so he was bought for me. our promise was a home for life where I would give back to him as freely as he had given to me.

I grew too tall for Billy pretty fast and he made it know he was not ready to retire in to an easy life.

So he was called on to bring my friends safely around courses.

Over the last number of years billy ray has thought many children and adults to ride. He's given back riders confidence after accidents.

He gave mothers the piece of mind their children were in good hands and even gave mothers the confidence to sit back in the saddle after long forgetting the joy of riding.

Hes never asked for anything in return. Never had a sick, lame or sorry day.

Unfortunately there now has been a lump discovered in Billy's throat. While he is still happy as ever grazing away between teaching children eventually the lump will be big enough to affect his breathing.

So the best thing for him is to get it removed before it gets to that stage. He has had ultra sounds and byopis which has shown it's a ultimobranchial tyroid cyst. The surgery all going to plan will cost 1000e.

I pray together we can build the funds to give back to billy ray and make sure he has a long and healthy life ahead of him.
