Save Bill's Life: Support His Recovery Journey

I, Vanessa have been asked to manage a GoFundMe page to try and save our dear friend Bill's life. He is dying and needs our help. Please see the story below. Written by his little brother Jeff.

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to read about my brother Bill. If you are here, you either know him, or support the cause relating to recovery.

I know Bill is very near and dear to all of your hearts, and he is blessed to have had such a great support system all of these years.

With that being said I’m am going to tell you his story from my eyes. I am a very upfront person and I tell it is.

If you talk to Bill he’s going to tell how good he is, he’s going to tell you he’s happy. He is not.

He is rapidly losing the battle against alcoholism.

Bill is absolutely miserable and is living a life of solitude. He is one of the most social people I know, but for the last 15 years he has chosen to hide his issues and live in squalor, the bottle his only company.

My attempts at saving his life have failed.

Bill has been on borrowed time for over a decade, and he is at the end of the road.

His choice is simple: recovery or death.

This choice is his to choose.

Bill is currently in the hospital and waking up from a coma. When he becomes lucid, he will be presented with the option for recovery.

The details of rehab costs are not realized at this time, and he will be able to tap into resources provided by his employer, but there will undoubtedly be a gap in financial costs. We'd like to try to keep his apartment for him as well.

If a donation for Bills recovery may be in your means it would be greatly appreciated and helpful.

To close, the expectation for Bill is to accept the help. If he chooses wisely, the allocated funds will go to his treatment center directly and towards rent on his apartment. If he declines, a full refund will be issued (minus the percentage go-fund-me takes per donation).
